Douglas Edward Brown, 64, of Fruithurst, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on August 14, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1961, in Cleburne County, Alabama, to the late Steve and Annie Pauline Manis Brown. Douglas is lovingly remembered by his children, Douglas Allen Brown, Lila Lambert, Kathleen Shaw, Douglas Brown Jr., and Vernon Brown; his grandchildren, McKenzie Brown, Abagail Lambert, Gabriella Lambert, Elizabeth Lambert, Raylan Lambert, Chevy Lambert, Chevelle Lambert, Skylar Shaw, Delainey Brown, and Baby Brown on the way. He also leaves behind his sons-in-law, DJ Lambert and Devin Shaw; daughters-in-law, Adrianna Brown and Destany Brown; and his siblings, Steve Brown, Ernest Brown, and Doris Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters, Diane Goss and Lila Brown. A lifelong resident of Cleburne County, Douglas worked many years as a logger and later dedicated over two decades of service at Pilgrim's Pride. He was a member of Green Chapel Church and was known as a hardworking, devoted father and grandfather. His greatest joy was raising his children and watching his grandchildren grow. To know Douglas was truly to love him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to share in his life. A funeral service to honor Mr. Brown's life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in The Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 12:00–1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
