Late seventies I worked nights at Tusky Valley High School with Russ Studer and Alvin Notz. Weekly when Deputy Burrier would complete a drive around of the school busses and school buildings, I would have an opportunity to visit with Doug through the window of his cruiser. This went on for over a year and I got acquainted with the great person that Doug Burrier was. Soon after I joined the Reserves of Tuscarawas County Sheriff´s Department and when ever I had the opportunity to do a ride along with Deputy Burrier, I would happily jump at the chance. Funny thing is, it wasn´t until now after reading Doug´s obituary, that I realized that he too graduated from Tusky Valley HS. My sincere condolences to Doug´s family as he was a wonderful human being. Mark & Barb Eames
