Douglas (Doug) Edenborg, 63, of Moorhead, passed away on June 6, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Sanford Hospice House.
Doug was born on January 26, 1961, to Jerome and Beverly (Kuehl) Edenborg in Moorhead, MN. Many of his childhood years were spent at Pelican Lake with his grandparents and hunting with his brother and dad. Doug graduated from Moorhead High School in 1979.
Doug was united in marriage to Cheryl Jacobsen on February 28, 1981, and welcomed 3 children: Robyn, Dan and Tracey. Earlier this year, they celebrated 43 years of marriage. Doug enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, everything involving his grandchildren, hunting, traveling to Alaska, keeping up with his bowling league group and volunteering at the Red River Regional Marksmanship Center.
Doug is survived by his caring and loving wife Cheryl, children Robyn (Tim) Manke of Fargo, ND, Dan (Jenna) Edenborg of Hillsboro, ND and Tracey (Eric) Jean of Soldotna, AK; grandchildren Liam, Bennett and Mac Edenborg, Morgan and Kara Jean; mother Beverly Edenborg; brother Mike (Angie) Edenborg; sister Sheila (Kraig) Johnson, and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his father Jerome Edenborg, mother in-law Joanne, and grandparents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. A memorial service will be Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. , at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
