Douglas "Wayne" Freeman

Douglas "Wayne" Freeman left this world on April 13th, 2025 to be with his Heavenly Father and to reunite with friends and loved ones who went on before him. Doug will be truly missed by everyone whose lives were touched by knowing him.
Doug was a submarine sailor stationed at multiple duty stations across the country. To his credit, Douglas love for family took priority over his love of the Navy and together with his wife Judy, they decided to pursue a life in the civilian world and ended up back in Loveland, Co.
Doug got hired on at Kodak in Windsor, Co. as an automated equipment mechanic in the early 70's and was able to retire from there in the early 2000's. Working at Kodak was a rewarding career that allowed him plenty of time to be with his wife and help raise three boys.
Doug and his wife of 55 years enjoyed spending time outside with nature. They were members of the Johnstown Rod and Gun Club for over 30 years. Many days were spent there with friends and family fishing and camping and just plain relaxing while enjoying each other's company.
Doug was a friend to just about everyone he met. He had a positive outlook on life that was contagious. His willingness to help others will always be a standard to reach for.
