Douglas William Hamner, 66, of No. Vernon, IN., passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility. Douglas was born in Johnson County on September 23, 1955 to Jack E. Hamner and Viola I. Crosby Hamner. He married Robin Baxter.
Douglas attended Edinburgh High School and was an Army Veteran. He was employed in maintenance at Rose Acres and retired from Arvin Industries. Doug loved reading, football, hiking, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Patches.
Per Douglas's request he was cremated. Private Inurnment will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Hamner; children, Kyle R. (Shelby L.) Vaught, Nastassia (Dave) Powers and Jessica Beam; a brother, Donald Burton; a sister, Jackie Hamner; grandchildren, Ariauna R. Vaught, Kylie R. Vaught, Kyi R. Vaught, Alexis Tolman, Samantha Tolman, Emily Gold, Isabella Gold, Jason Beam, Lola Beam, Dawson Powers and Tosha Powers..
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack E. Hamner; mother, Viola I. Burton; sister, Candi Hamner Hawk; grand-daughter, Ariel R. Vaught
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

I miss u papaw i miss u so much i wish i had more time with u but i couldnt i love u so much and mamaw does too. Did u see Mae and I at the hostpital with u? I wish u didnt have to go i cant stand the fact i lost someone so close but i will see u in heaven one day i promise papaw.. <3
