Douglas Haseloff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Falls Funeral Home & Cremation Center - Wichita Falls on Jan. 24, 2026.
Douglas Kurt Haseloff was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and passed away on January 21, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of Vernon, Texas and a graduate of Vernon High School, Class of 1986. He was raised in the Lockett community and spent his adult life in both Lockett and Vernon.

Doug shared his life with Brenda Newberry and together they had one son, Jeffrey Paul Haseloff; and one step-daughter, Sarah Beth Hampsten (Jake), and granddaughter - Jaci Lynn. Doug worked in a variety of roles, including the family farm, Karcher's Farm Store, and the Vernon Auto Group.

He spent time in junior college in both Vernon and Lubbock at South Plains College. Doug's early faith was formed at Peace Lutheran Church, where he was baptized and confirmed. Doug and Brenda attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Doug was known for his kindness, joy, and quick wit. He had a gift for perfectly timed humor and brought joy to those around him. He especially loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, taking trips to Colorado, a pilgrimage to Sturgis, SD with Wombat, and road trips with Brenda to Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Since a leg amputation in 2023 Doug's gang of support included Joe Richie, Scott DIckerson, and Rick Lambert. He was so appreciative of this Harley-crew that he could hardly stop saying, "Thank you!"

He is survived by Brenda, Jeffrey, Sarah Beth; his mother, Kay Haseloff of Memphis, TN; his brother, Greg Haseloff (Jennifer) of Wilmore, KY; his sister, Kerry Haseloff-Park (Geoff) of Memphis, TN; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Pecos.

He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Karl Haseloff, and siblings Jeffrey Kent Haseloff and Elizabeth Kay Haseloff.
