Douglas O. Hussa, 67, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at home.
Douglas Oscar Hussa was born on August 5, 1956 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Oscar Joseph and Eleanor Mary (Jones) Hussa. He was a graduate of Bangor, Wisconsin High School, and then attended the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, and Western Wisconsin Technical Institute. He married Eda Judith Estrada on November 29, 2021 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Douglas had worked for many years as the district manager for American Building Maintenance Industries (ABM).
Those left to honor Doug's memory include his wife, Eda Hussa of Maquoketa, IA; children, Joshua Douglas Hussa Asturias of Houston, Tx, Erika Anna Maria Hussa Asturias of Houston, TX, and Jalilee Hussa Estrada of Guatemala City, Guatemala; and siblings, Dean Hussa of La Crosse, WI, Kay (Mark) Kastenschmidt of Bangor, WI, Paul Hussa of Minneapolis, MN, and Ann Hussa of Northfield, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Kenneth Floyd Hussa.
At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. There are no public services planned at this time.
