"We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved father, Douglas John Krieg, who passed away on February 22, 2025." A devoted husband of 59 years to Sherrie Lee Krieg and loving father to Melissa (Brian) Mettelmann and Heather (Chris) Smith. Beloved grandfather to Brandon, Shelby (Ray), Ean (Holly), Joshua, Jamen (Chrissy) and Calen. Beloved great-grandfather to Darryan, Giovanni, Parker, Harlow, Declan, Maewyn and the soon to be Millie.
He is further survived by his siblings Richard and Kathleen, and sister and brother-in-law Susan and Steve. As well as many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
As a veteran of the U.S. Army, Doug served his country with honor and integrity. Doug was employed by Rexnord for 39 years where he performed a variety of jobs. He was also an avid deer hunter, pyrotechnician and loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 4th, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Schmidty's Bar & Grill,16755 W Lisbon Rd, Brookfield, from 1:00 PM -1:30 PM, we will be sharing some memories followed by military honors.
We will forever cherish the memories we shared with him.
