Douglas Ted Larsen passed away peacefully at his home in Layton surrounded by his family. He was born to Theodore and Lavon Larsen and enjoyed his childhood in the Ogden area.

He attended Ben Lomond High School and after graduating moved to Collbran, Colorado where he met his first love, Karna McDaniel. They were married in 1972 and had five beautiful children together.

He worked various jobs before starting his own construction company, Larsen Construction. In 1989 he moved his family back to Utah to help care for his mother and got his real estate license. From there he was a part of various fundraisers and charities including Have A Heart Home and Jus Cus Golf Tournament.

Doug enjoyed being with family and friends and living his life to the fullest. He loved playing pool, darts, karaoke, golf and fishing. His moto was "No Stinkin Thinkin". He was a friend to all and everyone was always welcome in his home. More than anything he loved his kids, grandkids and was known by many as Papa.

He is survived by his daughter Dayna (Mike), Amber (Tyson), Blaine (Tami) and Travis (Holli) of N. Ogden. His eight grandchildren, Bryant, Lexi, Brayden, Sierra, Colton, Paislee, Denver, Beckett and 1 great granddaughter, Lakelynn. Also, his two sisters Lorraine and Tammy (Royce) of Colorado and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Theodore Larsen, mother Lavon Pedersen Larsen, son Dustin Ted Larsen and brother Bruce Larsen.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

I enjoyed spending all the times Doug and I had. There are many great memories.
When I had spoken with Doug many times the last few months, he never complained to me about his condition.
I will deeply miss him.
