Douglas R. Little passed away on December 7, 2024 at St. Josephs Hospital in Stockton. He was born May 25, 1945 in Hayward to Roy & Evelyn Little.
Doug grew up in Hayward and attended Hayward High School. At a young age Doug started his career working alongside his father at his Shell Station in Hayward. Doug's career took him to a local Ford Dealership as a mechanic until he started working for Alameda County as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Doug was a member of the Contra Costa Alameda County Cattlemens Association, the Farm Bureau, the Blue Diamond Association, the Livermore Rodeo Association and was a 4-H Leader for the Mountain House 4-H Club for many years. Doug enjoyed all aspects of farming and ranching.
Doug is survived by his wife of 57 years Sylvia Little of Tracy. Also surviving him are his children Elizabeth (Little) and Chris Castello, Christine (Little) and Kit Ward, and Lynnette (Little) and Ricky Rocha. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandra, Courtney, Carly, Adam, Ethan, and his siblings Arline Lillak, Ed Little, and Susie Anderson.
Doug was preceded in death by his father Roy Little, mother Evelyn (Lockerby) Little and brother Steve Little.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the Little family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at 11:00 am in the chapel. He will be laid to rest at Valpico Memorial Park. An online guest book is available for condolences and special messages to the family.
