Douglas Joseph Pertuit entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2026.
He was born on August 2,1943 in New Orleans, LA to Douglas Michael Pertuit and Mary Fricano Pertuit. Douglas served in the United States Navy in the Submarine Service. After the Navy, he opened his own business and ran Doug’s Electric for over 35 years. He also worked for Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish Electrical Inspection Office.
Douglas is survived by his two children, Dannielle Pertuit Halbert (Tim) and Cory Douglas Pertuit, his three grandchildren, Evan Halbert, Corianne Pertuit and Camden Pertuit and his brother Frank A. Pertuit.
He also leaves behind his dog Diablo and his Old Lady, Linda.
Douglas thought every celebration should start and end with Fireworks and King Cake.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until 1:30 PM.
