Beloved husband of Ellen for 33 years, loving father of Eliana (Tim) Winfrey, Danica, Alexandra and Austin, cherished son of Virginia and the late Rev. Curtis O'Neal Pierce Sr., dear brother of Amy (the late Henry) Bauer and the late Curtis O'Neal (Vilinda) Pierce Jr., proud uncle of many nieces and nephews and dear friend of many. Douglas loved motorcycle adventures and trips, planning and traveling on vacation with family, he was an avid trumpet player and known for his mischievous grin. Former owner of Austin BBQ in Wheaton, was a BBQ Pitmaster Extraordinaire famous for his Brisket! Proud member of the Hogs of Addison. Douglas was described by his family as a very hard working man who took pride in giving his maximum effort at all times. Never called in sick, dependable, super reliable, a man you could always count on. Always kept his dry sense of humor and he was "loved more than he would ever know" and was "just an awesome man,"
Visitation Saturday, November 30th from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home located at 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton, IL. with procession to Assumption Cemetery for Interment. In lieu of flowers memorials in honor of Douglas A. Pierce can be made to Calvary United Pentecostal Church PO Box 935 Addison, IL. 60101

My son William was employed by Doug and Ellen at Austin BBQ. Doug was a stand up guy, and was so great with my son. I will never forget him. RIP my friend. Chris Day.

As a friend and co-worker at Eagle Flexible Packaging,Doug always had a smile on his face and a wave goodnight as I left for the evening. He shared his story of his jacket and all the places he traveled on his motorcycle and a few states still needing to go to when we had our work fall function. He truly was someone that was very cordial. He will be missed dearly. Rest in peace my friend. Prayers for his ramily.
