Doug was born Friday, January 25, 1952, in Muncie, Indiana, and he was the son of the late Robert Howard Quire and the late Nancy Jane (Shears) Quire.
Doug was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend.
Doug is survived by his wife of 34 years, Denise Ennist; 8 Children, Douglas Quire, Jr., Deann Quire, Cynthia Quire, Stephanie Thomas, Melody Quire, Matthew Whicher, Brittany Quire, and Janey Quire; 13 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandson; 3 Sisters, Cathy Bucceri, and Karen Stegman; 2 Brothers, Robert Quire, and Wayne Quire; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Quire.
Doug chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
