He was born February 6, 1953 in Honolulu, Hawaii the son of Dwight and Jackie (Neeley) Samuel. His mother, Jackie Samuel preceded him in death.
Surviving are his father, Dwight Samuel of Cassville, Missouri; one son, Chad Samuel and his wife Jennifer of Highlandville, Missouri; one daughter, Kelly Wilson and her husband Tyler of Nixa, Missouri; one brother, David Samuel of Cape Fair, Missouri; four grandchildren, Carlie, Sydney and her husband Stephen and Avery and Brooklyn; one great granddaughter, Stella and nephew and nieces, Carter, Treva and Neely.
Doug graduated from Cassville High School in 1971. After he graduated, he moved to Kansas and joined the Army. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran during the Vietnam era. He married Brenda in 1972. After he was discharged from the Army, he and Brenda moved to Cassville to raise their family. Doug was employed by FASCO Industries in Cassville, Missouri for many years. He later owned and operated a cleaning and landscape business and was contracted by FASCO Industries. Doug was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved his family dearly. It brought him joy to watch his kids and grandkids play sports. He enjoyed time with family, tending to his garden, and was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He also loved watching movies. You would name a movie and you could be sure he's seen it. He was a Deacon at the First Christian Church in Cassville and was a faithful member there for many years.
He will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 27, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Billy Graff will conduct the services.
