His Family Douglas leaves behind his wife, Mary; children, Douglas (Jennifer) Sands, Geofrey Sands, Christine (Josh) Hjorth; stepchildren, Rodney (Lynette) DeLaca and Laura DeLaca; grandchildren, Ryan DeLaca, Haley Ray, Rylan Sands, Ashlyn Sands, Jackson Hjorth, Joseph Hjorth, Jonathan Hjorth, Gracie Hjorth; and great granddaughter, Sophia DeLaca. He is also survived by siblings, Karen Anderson, Denny Sands, Debbie Wold; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, JoAnn Johnson, Orville Sands Jr., and Sandra Moudy.
His Farewell Douglas's Community Farewell will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 4PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel with a gathering beginning at 2PM until the time of service. Doug has done business with myself and my father Benny of Bennys pizza pub. He had a great business sense and a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences to the family.
