Douglas Shipley Obituary
Douglas was born June 29, 1982, the son of Gerald Shipley and Peggy Lingle.
He graduated from Curwensville High School in 2003, but also attended Clearfield and Philipsburg Schools. He proudly participated in the Special Olympics for many years.
Douglas was a fan of WWE Wrestling, an avid sports fan, and also enjoyed monster trucks. He was a true ladies man and was adored by many. He was truly one of a kind and brought joy and light to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Lingle; three brothers, Michael (Annette) Shipley, Scott (Valerie) Shipley, and Jeffrey (Brooke) Shipley; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Douglas is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Shipley; paternal grandparents, Walter and Francine Shipley; and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Lingle.
A funeral service will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 from 4-7 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Make A Wish Foundation at www.wish.org.
