Douglas Wayne “Doug” Sims of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away September 18, 2025, at 69 years old. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 19, 1956, to the late Merrill and Barbara (Fields) Sims. He enjoyed auto racing, especially NASCAR and Indy Car racing, fishing, enjoyed mowing grass, the outdoors, and loved spending time with his family. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Long) Sims, his son, Eric Sims (Jennifer Hughes), his granddaughter, Kayleigh (Brandon) Howell, his great grandchildren, McCoy and Lainey Howell, his brothers, Mike (Margie) Sims, Greg (Carol) Sims, and his sister, Angie Pugh. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 11:00am-1pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with the Funeral Service following there at 1:00pm.
