Indiana Funeral Care - IndianapolisMichael Darren Trice passed away on February 18, 2026 after a valiant fight with Lung Cancer. He was born March 2, 1966, to Lucas James Trice and Marion Louise Smith (Formerly Trice) in Kansas City KS. His family came to Indianapolis when he was in Fifth grade from Flint, MI by way of Nashville, TN. He attended Vincennes and Indiana Universities in his pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Geology. While in college and for many years afterward he worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies as an Engineer. This led him to live in Chicago where he and his close friends created and starred in The Friday Night Club on Hammond Public Access Television. His most recent Career has been as a Tech Support Analyst for RL Datix.
Anyone who has known Mike would tell you his smile and quick wit were felt by all who spent time in his presence. He loved to travel with his wife and they explored the world and tasted all it had to offer. He was also a Film and Music buff as well as shared a deep love of video gaming. He enjoyed spending time working on his barbecue skills and enjoying a great cup of coffee.
He is survived by his parents, Lucas (Cathy) Trice and Marion (JP) Smith, his Wife, Heather, Stepsons, Williams Michael Fields II and Will Anthony (Taylor) Fields, His Grandson, Jayden Anthony Fields, and His Sisters, Kim Trice Johnson and Victoria M Trice, He also leaves behind an extended family of Cousins who were more like siblings, His beloved Aunts, and Nieces and Nephews, In additions he leaves a whole host of friends who will carry the memory of his times with us.

Services will be held on March 7, 2026 with visitation at 2 pm followed by a chance to give your favorite stories of him in his remembrance at 3pm. Location: Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250
