Douglas Jay Smith, born on August 12, 1950, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 74. He was a dedicated father to three beloved children: Michelle (Mike), Kristen, and Douglas, and a cherished husband to his wife, Gayle, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of marriage.
Doug was not only a family man, but also a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren; Mackenzie, Michael, and Madilyn, who brought him immense joy and laughter. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially at their beloved lake house, where summers were filled with boating, riding jet skis, and taking the kids tubing. Doug loved making fires and fishing on the weekends, creating lasting memories that his family will forever treasure.
Professionally, Doug was a standout in his field, continuing to work at A-10, where he was admired for his exceptional sales skills. His dedication and talent earned him the title of top salesperson and presidents club winner year after year, a testament to his hard work and commitment.
Doug will be remembered for his intelligence, charm, sense of humor and the warmth he brought to every room. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and colleagues.
