Douglas (Boe) Lamar Stone

Tuesday, October 14, 1958 – Tuesday, January 13, 2026

Douglas "Boe" Lamar Stone, of Alamo, Georgia, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 13, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia. Born on October 14, 1958, in McRae, Georgia, Boe's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of love and family values that he embodied throughout his 67 years.

A graveside service will be held at Clements Cemetery on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. with Sheriff Eric D. Bryant officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the graveside from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

As a self-employed truck driver, he was known for his dedication and the friendly wave he offered to everyone he passed on his travels.

Family was the cornerstone of Boe's life. He is survived by his loving sister, Sharron S. Johnson (Paul) of Americus, and his brother, Farron Stone (Jackie) of Rentz, Georgia. His role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, offering laughter, and support to a multitude of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

While Boe's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his memory will be kept alive through the countless tales of his kindness and the imprints of his generous spirit. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Livingston Stone, his parents, Douglas and Janice Stone, and his nephew, Jody Smith, with whom he now shares a peaceful rest.

As we bid farewell to Douglas "Boe" Lamar Stone, we celebrate a life marked by the open road's call and the quiet strength of familial bonds. His journey on earth may have ended, but the miles he covered in our hearts are endless.
