Walter Terry Walker, of Lumber City, Georgia, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on January 27, 2026, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, Georgia. He was born on February 6, 1955, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Horace Walker Jr. and Edna Barnes Walker.

A funeral service will be held at Milan Church of God on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Ralph Horne will officiate, assisted by Reverend Danny Horne. Interment will be held at Milan Church of God Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at the church from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.

Terry spent his life on the open road as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Milan Church of God.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Marty Walker of Lumber City. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Terry's world. He was a devoted father to his children, Steve Walker (Brandye) of Richmond Hill and James Wilkes of Lumber City. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Terry's love extended to his sister, Betty Padgett (Ernest) of Jacksonville, with whom he shared countless cherished memories.

As we bid farewell to Walter Terry Walker, his memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He would always come into the Dollar General in Milan, Ga to buy cans of dog food & always had a good joke to tell. I will certainly miss the quick wit & humor he had...especially when he could tell we were having a long day at work! #GodBlessHisFamily
