He was an avid reader and volunteered many hours at the Poway Midland Railroad. Doug was proud to drive his restored 1986 Ford truck around town and enjoyed people talking to him about it.
Doug is survived by his daughters Sinclair Stratton and Deanne Stratton, both of San Diego, CA; Sisters Rita Wilson, Teri Miela and Cricket Buffalo; brother Keith Wilson and grandson Ry. Sadly, Doug's wife Sharon preceded him in death a few short months ago in September 2024, and his son James in 1989.
