Funeral services celebrating the life of JoAnn Norman Stratton, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Fr. Mike Thang’wa officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at St. Paschals Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
The visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service.
Mrs. Stratton was born on April 18, 1936, in Coral Gables, Florida and passed away on October 9, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
JoAnn was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, LA. She was a loving mother and grandmother living all over the world with her military husband and children.
She enjoyed following her grandchildren’s games, watching college and professional football games, going to the Casino, and especially playing Bingo on Cypress St.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-nine years, Ronald Clinton “Red” Stratton, Sr.; parents, Ralph and Marie Norman; brothers, Ralph, Jr., Jack and his wife, Yvonne, and Pat Norman.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Ronald C. (Butch) Stratton, Jr. (Jody), Katherine Marie Stratton (Mike), Robert Wayne Stratton, William Michael Stratton, John Thomas Stratton (Susan), and Donna Marie Robinson (Bruce); fifteen grandchildren, Michelle Hawthorne, Emily Stratton, Rhonda Stratton, Michael Sampognaro, Ryan Sampognaro, Kayla Sampognaro, Kristi Stratton, Bill Stratton, Jr., Kacee Stratton, Brittney Gilbert, J. T. Stratton, Jr., Steven Stratton, Rachel Stratton, Blake Robinson, and Bradley Robinson; twenty-five great grandchildren; brothers, Richard D. Norman (Mary Ann), and David Norman (Linda); sisters-in-law, Glynda Norman, Kay Norman, and Joan Norman; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearer will be Slagle McGuffee.
Memorials may be made to Tunnel for Towers or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
