Addie Smith Obituary
Addie was born on December 11, 1955 in Farmerville, Louisiana and passed away on October 5, 2025 in West Monroe. Addie sought inspiration in God's word to become a nurse. She received her bachelor's in nursing at Northeast Louisiana University. She received her master's in nursing at Mississippi College for Women. Addie has been in nursing almost 50 years. Addie's mission in life was helping others. She loved helping her ladies class. She loved the good Lord first and her family. She also had a passion for her animals, especially her goats.
Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Smith; parents, Woodrow Willard Morris and Lafayne Morris; sisters, Carolyn Corley and Willa Corley; brother-in-law, Mack Corley; and nephew, Chad Corley.
Addie is survived by her special nephew, Jay Morris; siblings, Philip Morris, Patty Chapman and husband Joel; brother-in-law, David Corley; nieces and nephews, Paul Corley (Amy), Robert Corley (Bryndis), Jason Corley (Michelle), Craig Corley (Shawn), Kelli Kern (Shawn), Jared Chapman (Amanda), Laura Hampton (Jeremy), Stuart (Devanee), Anna Goodnight (Nathan); many great nephews and nieces and many great-great nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Jared Chapman, Stuart Chapman, Clay Corley, Shawn Kern, Jeremy Hampton, Craig Corley, Jason Corley and Paul Corley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon Britt, Janet Morevant, Nikki Flowers, Susan Jacks, Brenda Thomason, Donna Norman, Meade O'Boyle, MD., Flo Pemberton, Bettye Spivey, Irma Gonzalez, Dondra Martin and Rhonda Burdeaux.
