Alice Hebert Brazzel, age 89, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, in Monroe, Louisiana. She was born on February 6, 1936, in Mamou, Louisiana to Isom and Rowena Reed Hebert.

Alice married David Elton Brazzel on August 8, 1953, and together they had four children, Allan, Vivian, Tracy, and Renee. Alice was a homemaker, raising the children and supporting her husband as he worked. Though she and David settled and made their home in Lincoln Parish, over the years Alice was often heard speaking French with her family and friends from South Louisiana where she was born and raised. She was a fantastic cook, and her Cajun dishes were especially delicious. She loved to recount stories of her life and travels, and she greatly enjoyed hearing personal news and updates from her family and many friends. She was an avid reader of biographies and autobiographies, and she rarely missed an opportunity to go shopping. Her favorite thing to do was to visit with loved ones. She was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church, and she treasured her time with the senior Sunday school class. She will be remembered for her generosity and for her devotion to her family.

Alice is survived by her son, Allan Brazzel and wife Karen; daughter, Vivian Brazzel Hinton and husband Terry; daughter, Tracy Brazzel Barnes; and daughter, Renee Brazzel Branton and husband Daniel. Surviving grandchildren are Allison Jiménez Brazzel (husband Yamil), Sarah Brazzel, Emily Brazzel, Matthew Brazzel, Holly Cooksey (husband Zach), Mark Baugh, David Barnes, Daniel Barnes (wife Chelsea), Rebekah Grooms (husband Loren), Paige Plunkett, Carson Branton, and Scarlett Dumas, as well as seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many more relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents Isom and Rowena Reed Hebert, her husband David Brazzel, grandson, Adam Baugh, son-in-law Allan Barnes, brother Anthony Hebert, brother Daniel Hebert, sister Leda Belle Jones, sister Elaine Akin, brother Robert Hebert, brother Ray Hebert, and many additional relatives in her extended family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in Ruston, LA.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers will be David Barnes, Matthew Brazzel, Mark Baugh, Zach Cooksey, Carson Branton, and Kenneth Brazzel. Honorary pallbearer will be Clayton Hebert.
