Douglas Allen Stull

Douglas Allen Stull, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Doug was born in
Dayton, Ohio to Gerald and Elsie (Steele) Stull on August 13, 1939. On April 11, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart and lifelong love, Miriam Jane Freeze, and they were blessed to enjoy 64 years of marriage. Doug attended Roosevelt High School in
Dayton, Ohio, and later attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a Purchasing Manager for General Motors for 25 years, followed by a successful sales career with Trelleborg Automotive based in South Haven, Michigan. Doug and Miriam enjoyed raising his two children in Tipp City, Ohio. He served as Board President of Miami Valley Country Club, where he excelled at golfing. Weekends were spent golfing, canoeing, fishing, and attending his children's sporting events. In 2005, Doug and Miriam moved to
Georgetown, Indiana, to be near his daughter's (Sharon Stull Allen) family. For years, Doug served as an active volunteer at Falls of the Ohio and enjoyed membership in Derby City Fly Fishers, where he participated in fly fishing trips and teaching fly fishing to others. He was extremely talented at tying his own flies, a hobby he enjoyed his entire life. He and Miriam were active members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in
Corydon, Indiana, where he often read scripture and served on Church Council. Doug is survived by his daughter Sharon Stull Allen (Steven) of
Georgetown, Indiana, grandson Jason Allen (Mary Kenney) of Swampscott, Mass., granddaughter Olivia Allen Zimmerman (Joseph) of Seymour, Indiana, grandson Benjamin Allen (Kathleen) of
Georgetown, Indiana, Noelle Stull, Matthew Stull, and Ethan Stull (Brittany). He is also survived by cherished great grandchildren Mia Jane Zimmerman, Ian Douglas Zimmerman, Emery Kay Allen, Lillian Bee Allen, Connor Steven Kenney Allen, Thea Sharon Kenney Allen, Sophia Stull and Evan Stull. Most recently, Doug resided at Villages of Historic Silvercrest in New Albany, Indiana. Doug is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Miriam Jane Freeze Stull, his son Gregory Stull, sister Dana Hilliard Becker, and cherished dogs Bitsy and Susie. Visitation will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in
Corydon, Indiana from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Memorial gifts may be made to Zion Lutheran Church (14 West Walnut Street,
Tipp City, OH 45371) or St. Peter's Lutheran Church (655 St. Peters Rd. SE,
