Douglas "Doug" Swainston, born June 29, 1970, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra Swainston, his children, Sarah, Ryan, and Scott Swainston, his parents, Milton and Judy Swainston and his brother, Eric Swainston. Doug was an avid sports fan who loved the Kansas City Royals and Dallas Cowboys. He was involved in youth sports as a coach to many kids in the Knob Noster and Warrensburg area for over 30 years. He was an active member of the First Christian Church of Knob Noster. His family asks in lieu of flower that you make a donation to the Knob Noster Youth Sports Association.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 18th at First Christian Church in Knob Noster, with interment to follow at the Knob Noster Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service, Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
