Gates: Saturday, November 2, 2024, at age 60. He is survived by his father and mother, James R. Sr. and Pearl Telban; brother, James R. Jr. (Deborah) Telban; nephew, Michael Telban; great niece, Taya Joy Telban; great nephew, Jace Michael Telban; uncles, Carl (Janet) Telban, Robert (Diane) Doud; stepchildren, Adrianne and Daniel; many cousins and friends. Doug was an auditor for the University of Rochester.
No prior calling. On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, all are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Gates. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642 in his memory. A reception will follow that will be announced at the end of mass.
Doug's family would like to thank the staff at Wilmot Cancer Center (WCC5) and unit 4-1200 at Strong Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.

Jimmy and Pearl Ann, My cousin lives in Victor and shared this very sad news with me in North Carolina. I never met Douglas but I am very sorry for your loss. I DO have fond and warm memories of the two of you coming to Al and Rose´s house on Cloverdale Rd. before you were married. Some of my favorite memories of Douglas was when we were ids and we would go to parties at Jimmy and Pearl Ann´s house with all the relatives.
I would have such a great time with my cousins Douglas and Jimmy playing in the yard and the basement. We had so much fun running and playing ball.
They were the greatest of times and Douglas was always so happy to have his cousins around and we laughed and played and had the best childhood together. Sad I moved so far away and didn´t see him much in the last 30 years but those memories I will always treasure

I grew up with Doug and Jim and their parents as my aunt and uncle. My parents grew up with Pearl and Jim and they remain best friends to this day. I will miss Doug and pray for the family at this difficult time.

I worked with Doug at Excellus in Corporate Audit. He was funny, honest, patient and a giant fan of Shania T. (that alone makes him awesome!) He caught on very quickly to the different claims that those of us on the operations side audited and got along with the different claims supervisors. I left right before he became the manager of the operations side of audit. I missed him. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
