Jean Zaccaria Obituary
North Chili: Peacefully, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at age 90, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong Rochester native, Jean's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Jean was the devoted wife of Dominic Zaccaria Sr., and a loving mother to her three sons: Dominic Zaccaria, Jr. (Diane Nuccio-Notte), Gary Zaccaria (Kathleen Zaccaria), and Steven Zaccaria (Sheri Barone). Her greatest pride and joy was her family, and her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Andrea Zaccaria, Joe Zaccaria (Christine), Andrew Zaccaria (Danielle), Alaina Mayer (Kyle), David Zaccaria (Danielle), and Joanna Zaccaria. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Connor, Luca, William, Liliana, and Valerie. Jean's life was marked by her deep love for her family and her unwavering loyalty to those she held dear. She will be fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and enduring support of her loved ones. She was a passionate sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams: the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Rochester Amerks, New York Yankees, and Rochester Red Wings. Jean was deeply loved by many other close family members and friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed and forever remembered. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 20 at 11:00 AM at Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Road, Rochester, NY 14606. Her interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jean's memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284 (www.heart.org), a cause close to her heart. Jean's life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire love, strength, and togetherness for generations to come

Donny, Gary, and Steve (and families), my heart felt condolences on the passing of your mom, who was like a second mother to me. She left me with the best childhood memories. She was always kind and cheerful, and treated my brother Danny and I like her own. I remember her driving out to get us on many cold, snowy, winter nights after the Amerks games. We never had to call her because she would listen to the games on the radio and was always on time so that we weren´t waiting in the cold. In our grammar school days she helped me and Donny with our homework at her dining room table, often with a snack. She was truly a blessing. I shall miss her a lot.

So sorry to hear of Mrs Zaccaria´s passing. She truly was everything described in her obituary. Always smiling, so kind hearted and genuinely happy for everyone around her. I will always remember growing up with the boys Donny, Gary and Steve at their home on Riddle Street.
The house was like a playground for all of us, wiffel ball in the front yard, hockey in the back, BB guns, broken windows and teenage squabbles with neighbors. Mrs Z always stood by her boys and their friends.
You will be missed Mrs Zaccaria. God Bless You!
