Jake John Zaccaria

Jake John Zaccaria, 84, of Bakersfield, California, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born May 30, 1941, in Price, Utah, to Stephano and Concetta (Farlaino) Zaccaria, Jake was the second youngest of ten children.

After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, Jake met Veronica "Ronnie," the love of his life. They married and raised four children-Elizabeth, Christen, David, and Marc-first in Reedley, then in Bakersfield. There, Jake founded Zaccaria Agriculture Consulting, which he operated for more than 20 years with integrity and dedication.

A man of strong Catholic faith, Jake lived with generosity, humility, and devotion. He cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, never missing a milestone or gathering. His hands were rarely idle-he loved woodworking, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Sports were a lifelong passion, from his early love of basketball to his later enjoyment of golf. Whether cheering from the sidelines or enjoying a round with friends, Jake found joy in both play and companionship.

He is survived by his children Elizabeth, Christen (Fernando), David, and Marc (Megan); grandchildren Jocelyn, Janelle, Desiree, Jackson, and Avery; great-grandson Jacob; and his sister Ann, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jake was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ronnie; his parents; his siblings Margaret, Steve, George, Merlene, Rose, Michael, Vera, Dominic, and Lena; and his grandson Benjamin.

Jake's life was marked by kindness, strong faith, and devotion to family. His legacy of love, service, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
