Douglas John Tracy, 67, and member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia, died February 26, 2024 at his residence in Hampshire.
The family will visit with friends Saturday, March 2, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Douglas was born on August 5, 1956 in New Jersey to the late John “Jack” Tracy and the late Ruth Hankins Tracy. He graduated from Toms River North High School and married Wanda Davis Tracy in 1985. He worked for Northstar Electric for many years as an electrician. Mr. Tracy was a hard working farmer who liked to teach his kids and grandkids how to work and do things on the farm, he enjoyed helping people with any type of handiwork that was around. As much as he loved working and his farm, he loved his family more.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wanda Davis Tracy, daughter: Brittany Kratzer, son: Douglas (Denise) Tracy II, grandchildren: Sean Kratzer, Julia Kratzer, Adalynn Tracy, Samantha Devore, Paxton Hooper, sisters: Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Davis, Debra Repperger, Robin (Ed) May, brother: Peter “Pete” Tracy, many nieces and nephews, and many, many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a father in law, Floyd Davis.
