Douglas Theo VanGog was born in Rotterdam, Holland, alson known as the Netherlands on May 10,1946.

He is survived by his brother, William Robert (Robbie) VanGog, his cousin Sharon Iliohan, her daughter Amelia Iliohan Renderle, his nephews, Theo, Fred, and Dustin VanGog, his niece, Lindsey. His great nieces Cloe, Judy, Bella, Katie, and Carly, his graet nephews, TJ and Fred Jr., his great, great niece Athena and his great, great nephew Noah, round out the family.

Douglas was hard worker, taking on several jobs. He began his career delivering milk in Rotterdam. He worked in production for Fokker Aircraft assembling wings with his brother. He traveled to many countries and experienced life to the fullest in his younger years. He moved to the USA with his brother, mother, aunts and uncles. He worked at Buttera Moters as an auto mechanic from 1977-2008, when retired.

His favorite cars were Volkswagon bugs which he raced in the United Staes for several years.

He could fix any Volkswagon but specialized in brakes.

He was a kind individual that loved all kinds of animals, especially cats. Their names were Timothy, Morris, Plumpy, Snowy, Blacky, and a few others that he loved. The cats thrived under hi care, living into their 20's.

Douglas loved the rain! He enjoyed watching storms. He preferred cool weather that was present in Holland and Washington State.

Douglas will be missed. He is deeply loved. He gave his life to Jesus before he died, so we will see him again in Heaven.

He will have a new life free of pain. A life full of Joy awaits him now!

Douglas, rest in peace and give Glory to the Father in Heaven.

Love Always,

Your Friends and Family.
