Douglas Spencer Vaughan, Jr., age 67, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2022, with his wife by his side.
Doug had recently retired after working 39 years in the Aerospace industry.
He spent half of his life in California and the other half in Colorado. Both equally beautiful places with equally beautiful people.
Some of his spare time was lent to tending to the retirement home and property he and his wife, Lori share. Creating a cozy space was something they enjoyed together. With a great appreciation for nature, animals, and the outdoors it seems only fitting that gardening, tinkering, visiting state parks, long drives and evenings outside by the fire were activites that filled the soul.
Doug was also an avid reader. The best thing was relaxing with a book...and his cat, Jay!
Doug is preceded in death by his father Douglas Spencer Vaughan, Sr., mother Jean Thomas Vaughan, son Douglas Spencer Vaughan, III, sister Katherine Chapple.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lori French Vaughan, along with their daughters Sarah L. Vaughan (21) and Rebekah N. Vaughan (19). He couldn't be more proud of his girls...their strengths, intelligence, and many successes. Also survived by his sisters Jean DeBorde, Molly Haskins, Meg Gaeta, many neices, nephews and their beautiful family's. Of course, Tonka.
