Douglas Ray Williams, 55, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 12, 2026, after a long illness.

Doug was born on January 9, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Bruce Phillip Williams and Patricia Simpson.  At the age of 11, following the death of his father, Doug was adopted by his uncle and aunt, Daniel and Nancy Frederick Williams of Liberty, Kentucky.

A Certified Mechanic by trade, Doug dedicated his career to the automotive and heavy equipment industry. He was employed by Blanchard Machinery as a Parts Specialist in Summerville. Doug was a faithful Christian and an active member of Summerville Baptist Church.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife, Leigh Stanley Williams; his daughters, Kiya and Lazia; and by his children from previous marriages, daughter Caitlin, and sons Kellan, Gage, and Nate Williams. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve and Kevin (Regina); his adopted parents, Dan and Nancy Williams; his adopted sisters and brother, Abby Howard, Danielle Brown, and Matthew Williams; and his birth mother, Patricia Simpson Morris.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the service will be held at 11:00 a.m.
