He is preceded in death by his partner, Donnie Bethel, his father, Douglas Young, Sr, his mom, Cathy Gray, his step mother Christina Young and Cory "Bubba" Gray.
Left to cherish the memory of him is his Aunt Roma Faye Lill, his cousins, Melissa Lill Smith, Alley Smith and Wade Smith, his step dad, Tommy Gray Sr., his sisters Summer Gray (Brandon Boarman), Jessica Gray, Stacey Young, Beckey Johnson, Lora Baker, his brothers, William Keith (Linda Young), Tommy Gray (Shanna Davis), his nieces and nephews, Lyra Young, Brilee Parrish, Chance Parrish, Jayden Ingram, Bryson Boarman, Baylee Johnson, Haley Callaway, Taylor Whitfield and Chloe Cox, his special friends Lori Wade and Diana Grayson Smith.
Douglas was a graduate of Hanceville High School. He worked as a landscaper for most of his life. He absolutely loved working in the yard with plants. He will be deeply missed.

Hey uncle Doug I miss you so much I can´t believe ur gone it just doesn´t feel right I had just seen u the day before now I have no one I can call and talk to for hours I have no one I can laugh with smile with cry with ur memories will forever live on I will forever rep ur name u was such a amazing person u would do anything for anyone every if it was giving them the clothes off ur back or even ur last penny u didn´t care life isn´t going to be the same without u here if heaven had visiting hours I would be there I just wish u was here so we could laugh and joke and go places I remember how u use to wake me up at 5 in the morning just to go to Walmart to look around and get cookies just to come home and make them while everyone was asleep or how u would just call me in ur room bc u needed company or someone to talk to this doesn´t feel real uncle Doug I can´t believe ur gone Ik ur resting now but I just wish I could bring u back u was Mr make it happen u never failed to get me a cake or even a Christmas present I miss eating chocolate, covered raisins with u or going to circle K and getting a slushy there is so much stuff I miss and wish I could do again if I could go back in time and change everything I would I would bring u and uncle bubba back continue to watch over me and keep me safe and give uncle bubba and nana and Sonny a hug for me and tell them I love them and miss them down here ur going to forever be in our hearts til we meet again my beautiful angel I could go on but I´m going to stop here bc u already know how we rocking I´m going to make u proud I promise everything I do is for u gone but not forgotten
