Douglass Christopher Runyan, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 29. He was born on July 23, 1996, in Landstuhl, Germany, to Chazelle Leann (Lassiter) and Rodney Harrison and Christopher Runyan.
Doug grew up in Prague, Oklahoma, where he attended Prague Schools before completing his high school years at Uvalde High School. He graduated in 2014, achieving the distinction of ranking third in his class. As a teenager, Doug was passionate about Motocross Racing. Countless weekends were spent at the track with his family as he worked tirelessly to master his craft. His dedication paid off—by the time he chose to step away from racing, he was ranked second in the state.
Doug will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and the light he brought into every room. He had a natural gift for making others laugh, even during his own difficult moments. Above all, Doug was devoted to his children. Being a father was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment with his son and daughter. He also loved being “Uncle Doug,” a role he held with pride and affection.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte VanBrunt and grandfather, David White.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Roman Douglass Runyan; his daughter, Dannie Rhys Runyan; his parents, Chazelle and Rodney Harrison and Christopher Runyan; his brothers, Zachary Runyan and his wife, Elvia, Justin Runyan, and Corey Runyan; and his grandparents: Douglass and Francie Lassiter, Sharon Lassiter, Cheryl White, Rex Harrison, and Ronnie VanBrunt. He is also survived by his uncle, Chad Lassiter and his wife, Kristen; his uncle, Jeremy VanBrunt and his wife, Michelle; his great aunt, Crystal Mappes; his aunt, Leslie Harrison; his aunt, Tina Gable and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
