Doyle E. Seamans, 85 years of age, born on January 17, 1940, passed from this life to a better place on July 7, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frankie Sue of Fort Smith. Jesse Wayne Lokey, great grandson and great-great grandson Kenneth Lokey. Son, Alan Seamans (Marlina) of Arkoma. Kenny Paul Lokey, great grandson of Fort Smith. Two sisters Linda Kay McGahan (Don) of Rye Hill and Becky Sue Howell (Steve) also of Rye Hill. Granddaughter Annette Wilmoth (Josh) of Jessieville.
Born in Greenwood, he was the oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. He finished high school at Greenwood during which he had a part-time job at a creamery. Before joining the Army, he worked with the railroad removing railroad ties and rails. In the Army he became a sharpshooter, mechanic, chauffeur for a general and did security at the Berlin wall with top security clearance. When he came back, he was working at a furniture factory as a lead man. After this he worked in construction and shortly was promoted to a foreman. He went to work after this as a custodian and bus driver for the Magazine School district. As well as drove one of the church vans for Magazine Baptist Church even after retirement and before moving to Little Rock.
"Honey," as he was affectionately called by his wife, was known for his sense of humor by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Honey's passage on this Earth was marked by love, compassion, and an unfaltering faith in God and his love for his Family. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of his Family and friends and many more whose lives were touched by him.
He had the patience of Job. If we were able to still nominate people for sainthood, we would nominate him for patience. He was always helping the family with a multitude of different matters. He was good at making short wave radios and rebuilding computers from donated supplies for kids that couldn't afford them.

Doyle will always hold a special place in my heart. I first met Doyle through his son Dwayne about 31 years ago. Doyle was my boss at one point when he worked in construction. Quite frankly one of the best bosses I could ever recall having. However, the part that I will always be eternally grateful for is the fact nearly 30 years ago he sold me an acre of land that originally I don't think he really meant to sell. I asked him one day how much he would sell me an acre for and he gave me an amount not really thinking I was serious. However, when I showed up at his door one January day in 1996 with cash in hand he had a shocked look on his face. He sold me that acre of land that day and allowed me to seal the deal on my dream of owning my own land. Next year marks 30 years and I'm just as grateful today as I was all those years ago. Thank you Doyle for allowing me to complete my dream. I don't think you never really understood how it significantly changed my life by selling me this one little acre of land. I worked hard and was able to pay off both my houses on this land and was able to semi retire at 55 all because of you selling me that land. So again thank you so much
