Doyle Thomas Sharp

SHARP, Doyle Thomas - Age 58, of Fenton, died Friday, January 20, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday, January 23, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Elder J.C. Hager officiating, with military honors following under the auspices of the Honor Guard of V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post 3243 of Fenton. Visitation will be held from 12 - 3 PM Sunday, and 11 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Mr. Sharp was born October 20, 1947 in Shelbyville, KY, the son of Burnice and Margie (Harden) Sharp. He married Deloris Church on October 30, 1965 in Flint. Mr. Sharp is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the National Guard. He retired from General Motors - A.C. East in 1999 with 30 years of service and was a member of U.A.W. Local 651.. Surviving are: wife Deloris; son Doyle T. Sharp Jr. and wife Carrie of Fenton; daughter Cheryl and husband Greg Blackburn of Linden; grandchildren, Charlotte, Amber, Brenda, Sara, C.J, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary; brothers, Jimmie Sharp of Fenton, Roger Sharp of Kentucky; sister Glenna Sharp of Kentucky; adopted son Robert Smith of Gaines; special niece Sara Church of Fenton; many nieces and nephews.
