Born on June 13, 1945, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Doyle was the son of Arvo and Elise (Howeth) Worstell. He grew up with strong family values that would guide him throughout his life. After completing his early education in Sulphur, Oklahoma, he pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University. In 1968, he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering-a foundation that would support a long and successful career. Doyle dedicated over three decades of service to Conoco, where his work ethic and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike. His professional accomplishments were many. Doyle served honorably in the National Guard as a Specialist 4 with Company C, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry.
In 1970, Doyle married Jane WIlliams beginning a partnership marked by love and mutual support that spanned more than five decades. Together they raised two daughters: Jennifer White and her husband Sean, and Jamie Wohletz and her husband Justin. Doyle took great pride in his family and found immense joy in being a grandfather to Kyla White (and her fiancé Cody Keesling), Kyra White, Tyler Wohletz, and Eli Wohletz. A man of deep faith and community spirit, Doyle was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church. He contributed significantly to the church's growth by assisting with its building addition and participating in numerous projects over the years. His presence was a constant source of strength within the congregation. Doyle's passions extended beyond work and church. He loved spending time on the golf course with friends and cherished every moment shared with his grandchildren. Known for always being available to help a friend in need, Doyle embodied compassion through action-offering support without hesitation or expectation.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Lorene Wilkens (and her husband Alfred) and Margie Morland (and her husband Gaylord). Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Doyle will be remembered for his loving nature, steadfast character, and generous heart. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
