Dr. Edwin Dilworth Meeks, II, M.D., 75, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home in Columbus. Born in Aberdeen on October 26, 1949, to Edwin Dilworth Meeks and Margaret Alene Willmore Meeks. Dr. Meeks graduated from Aberdeen High School and earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. Since 1983, he was a practicing ENT physician in Columbus. Traveling the world was his favorite past time having visited all the continents except the Arctic, with Paris being his favorite. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
His is survived by his sister, Rosemarie Meeks Brooks (Dr. James Brooks), Madison, MS; niece, Alliemarie Lane Brooks; and nephew, Tinsley James Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
