Dr. John Kenneth “Ken” Bozeman, 78, of Hertford, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Ken was a clinical audiologist with a lifelong dedication to education and service. He earned his master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, followed by his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, and later his AuD from Salus University. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity where he gained lifelong friends. His career took him across the U.S. and internationally, including Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, and Switzerland. He worked at Tufts Medical Center, Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, other ENT clinics, and also maintained a private practice.
Ken loved sports, especially the University of Texas Longhorns and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed sailing, flying as a private pilot, and training his dogs for hunt tests. A fair, strong, and kind man with a deep faith in God, he truly loved his family.
A native of Houston, TX, Ken was the son of James William Bozeman and Bonnie Mae Graham Bozeman, both deceased. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Bozeman.
He met his wife, Laura Holley Bozeman, while attending university, and they married in 1973, sharing 52 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; his children, Holli Michelle Sadler (husband Christopher), Jay William Bozeman (wife Monica), and Barbara Ann Bozeman, including eight grandchildren: Gavin, Isabella, Aeden, Jonah, Sydney, Lucas, Catelyn, and Olivia.
