Dr. Richard E. Chandler

DR. RICHARD E. CHANDLER, of Talbott, TN passed away on February 2, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1937  in Columbus, OH.  Dr. Chandler was a life long educator in the field of Science Education. Dr. Chandler received his BA in Science Education from the Ohio State University and his MA and Ed Doctorate degrees from the University of Georgia. After many years of teaching high school physics and chemistry, Dr. Chandler taught science and science education to prospective teachers at Alice Lloyd College and Union College in Kentucky and South College, Pellissippi State College, and LMU and Walters State College in Tennessee. Dr. Chandler was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Betty Gallick, and his father, Mr. Eugene B. Chandler. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Barbara K. Chandler in Talbott, TN; three beloved border collies, Nova, Storm and Quazar; two sisters, Mrs. Patty Flowers in Plain City, OH and Mrs. Linda Lower in Columbus, OH.  Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2022 at Eastview Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service.
