Drew Michael Gentner, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Drew is survived by his parents, Dwayne and Cathy (Collins) Gentner; sister and brother-in-law, Kailey and Jerry Craig; and girlfriend, Aishwarya Gopinath; Grandparents, Jerry and Jean Gentner (Luther), Marcus and Karen Collins (Yoder). He had a large family who loved him including his uncles and aunts Dennis and Judy Gentner (Scali), Kevin and Michelle Gentner (Matherne), Doug and Marcy Law (Collins) and Mike and Tammy Collins (Rohrer) along with several cousins.
Drew was a 2019 graduate of Revere High School where he participated in track and soccer including being a member of the 2018 Ohio state runner-up soccer champions. He attended Kent State University where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, achieved the Dean’s list and received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. After graduating, he was employed as a system administrator in the IT department at Olympic Steel Corporation.
Drew enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his girlfriend, Aishwarya, who was dearly important to him. He enjoyed playing with his dog, Cooper, traveling, watching the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers, sports cars, and video gaming with his friends.
Drew was spiritual and his belief in God helped guide him through his life. He was caring and devout to the ones he loved. He left us earlier than expected and he now is with God. He would want to be remembered as a nice guy who loved his family, girlfriend, and friends. He wanted everyone to see the positive aspects of life including the cherished memories we had with him.
Friends may call on FRIDAY, February 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333, where a religious service will commence on SATURDAY, February 22 at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the service, burial will take place in West Richfield Cemetery, 4219 Broadview Rd. in Richfield.
