Drinda Claire Maurer Fohl, age 75, of Westerville, OH passed away December 7, 2023. Survived by her husband, Mark; daughters, Karen Elsass (Mike) and Barbara Fohl (Sonny Ventresca); grandchildren, Heather Veley, Hannah Veley (Kevin Lark), Keira Elsass and Matthew Elsass; two great-grandchildren, Azaiah and Kaileiah. Preceded in death by her parents, Leon Willis Maurer and Grace Harper Lehmann Maurer. Born in Media, PA, relocated to Vienna, West Virginia. Graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1965. Majored in French at Lake Erie College for Women and graduated in 1969. Married Mark and began raising a family. Graduated with an MLS from Kent State University in 1978. Worked for a few years at the National Water Well Association and then for 25 years at Columbus State Community College where she was Director of the Library for a few years. She loved her French and Spanish languages, loved to travel, loved reading, loved playing bridge with the ladies, loved Facebooking with her high school friends, loved her meetings with AAUW and Sorosis, loved talking on the phone with friends, loved her church and especially loved her family. She will be sorely missed. Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 2-5 p.m.. Celebration of Life will be held at Church of the Master, U.M. 24 N. Grove Street, Westerville, Monday at 10 a.m.. Private interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Master: Missions and Outreach.
