Drucilla Kemp Tucker

Drucilla Kemp Tucker, age 85, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Northport DCH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 04, 2023, at 2:00PM at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will immediately follow from Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
"Dru" or "Aunt Dru," as she was lovingly known, was born March 01,1938, to the late Olen Leon Kemp and Ida Rilla Montgomery Kemp. She began, and ended, a 47-year career, as a bookkeeper, with First National Bank of Tuscaloosa (currently Regions Bank). She was a Christian by faith and attended Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church in Northport, for as long as she was able.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband Everett Tucker, brother Leon Kemp and two brothers-in-law Buddy Williamson and Eugene Hunt.; nephew, Jamie Tucker (son of Larry and Cheryl).
She is survived by her sister Ruth Williamson, niece Dianne Nelson (Glen); great- niece and nephew twins Beau Nelson and Anna Kate Nelson; sister-in-law Jeri Kemp, and a host of "her Tucker family", that she loved as her own, sisters-in-law Betty Lee Hunt and Sue Winters (Randy), and brothers-in-law Leon Tucker (Betty Sue) and Larry Tucker (Cheryl), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made in her memory to Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on Mormon Rd whom her Kemp family loved and grew up in or her last home church which was closer to her home to travel, Carrollwood Free Will Baptist Church in Northport. It is most appreciated if any act of kindness is on your heart for Aunt Dru/Drucilla's memory.
