Drusilla Moss, who loved to be called "Nana", departed this life Saturday January 4, 2025, just two days short of her 86th birthday.
Drusilla was born January 6, 1939 in Littlefield, Texas to Doyle and Theresa (Russell) Baccus. She married Tommy Moss on September 8, 1956 in Sudan. Tommy and Druscilla farmed for many years, and she loved being on the farm. She helped wherever she was needed, from running a module builder to running farm errands. After they retired from farming, they ran the White Kitchen and the Fish-N-Chicken in Littlefield for many years. Her and Tommy enjoyed square dancing, going to stock shows, and traveling in their RV. They enjoyed going to Ruidoso to the Little Creek RV Park, and after Tommy's passing, Drusilla continued to go every summer on her own, up until 2022. Drusilla loved her Walmart shopping trips with "the girls", and her daily coffee dates with Barbara and Janelle. More than anything, she loved being a "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she was always one of their biggest fans at all their games and events. She was a faithful member of Duggan Ave. Church of Christ in Littlefield.
Drusilla is survived by her daughter, Cindy Legg and husband Carroll of Lubbock; her son, Troy Moss and wife Kim of Littlefield; four grandchildren, Courtney Ivy and husband Kevin, Casie Newman and husband Brandon, and Tiffany Rickman and husband Bobby all of Shallowater and Tyler Moss and wife Brandi of Idalou; thirteen great grandchildren, Ryker, Rylan, Jaxon, Delanie, Jake, Hailey, Hunter, Ryder, Taryn, Ryker, Kree, Myles and Addi; a brother, Jim Baccus and wife Kay of Spring, Texas and sister-in-law Norma Kay Evans and husband Lyndel of Lubbock and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Moss on October 11, 2014; and her parents.
The family would like to thank some special people who helped our mom in her final month: South Plains Rehab Facility, Bee Hive Assisted Living, Calvert Hospice of Lubbock. We would like to give a special thanks to two special nurses, Courtney Ivy and Cindy Martin for their loving care that they gave to Nana.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday January 7, 2025 in Grace Chapel at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Terry Wilson officiating. The family will host a birthday celebration/visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Troy and Kim's house (109 E 26th Street). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Littlefield EMS or The Children's Home of Lubbock, PO Box 2824 Lubbock, TX 79408. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
