Dua Thi "Hoa" Saunders, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence in Ewing, Kentucky on November 11, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on June 10, 1949, in Can Tho City, South Vietnam, she embraced every moment of her life with grace and warmth, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be felt by all who knew her.
Hoa's journey brought her to the United States, where she cultivated a beautiful life with her husband, Gerald Saunders, whom she married on August 24, 1996. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, joy, and a love that radiated to everyone around them. Hoa found pure happiness in the simplest of pleasures—sitting on the front porch, tending to her beloved garden, baking delightful treats, camping under the stars, spending serene moments at the lake, and, most importantly, sharing special times with her family, especially her cherished great-grandchildren, Hartley and Hoyt.
Hoa attended the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a beacon of light to all who crossed her path, known for her generous spirit and the warmth of her smile.
Hoa leaves behind her loving husband, Gerald; her daughter, Annette Knipp; and her stepchildren, Lesly Arrasmith (Greg) and Jamie Saunders. Her legacy continues through her granddaughter, Christine Knipp (Matt Pollitt), step-grandchildren, Megan (Nick) Ruark and Dustin Saunders, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Hoyt Pollitt and Hartley Pollitt, along with her step-great-grandson, J.T. Ruark.
Her family and friends will gather to honor her life with a visitation on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both taking place in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville, Kentucky, with Brother Rodney Pollitt officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Kentucky.
All arrangements for Dua Thi "Hoa" Saunders and family are under the care and direction of the Price Brothers Funeral Home, 5197 Elizaville Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
