Rocky Jay Hunt, 70 of Hillsboro, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Hospice of the Bluegrass in Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness.
He was born February 13, 1955, in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Avery Fleming Hunt and Elizabeth Blanche Earlywine Hunt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: David Hunt, Stevie Hunt, Avery Estill Hunt, Emma Gray, Hazel Kerns, Ann Gray, Carolyn Pollitt, Joy Mitchell and Opal Carpenter.
Rocky was retired from Doyle Auto Parts where he had worked for over 32 years. He was a member of the Olive Branch Christian Church and enjoyed coon hunting, farming, doing mechanic work and car races.
Survivors include his children a son, Billy Jay Hunt and his wife Janis, daughters, Shelly Hunt and Krista Hunt all of Hillsboro. Ten Grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. James Ray Hickerson officiating.
Rocky will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 12 Noon Thursday.
Pall bearers will be Billy Jay Hunt, Jr., Hayden Hunt, Nicholas Jett, Jason Barnes, Jesse Flora and Joe Johnson. Honorary pall bearers will be Jonathan Jett and Danny McIntyre.
