Peggy Ravenscraft Whisman, age 71, of Mount Sterling Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 31, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Harold Ravenscraft and Shirley Maxine Persyn Ravenscraft. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, George Monroe Whisman on August 14, 2013; one sister, Pam Collins; one brother, Mike Ravenscraft; and one son-in-law, Jeffrey Stacy.
Peggy is survived by; two daughters, Michelle McBride and husband Vernon of Aurora, Indiana, and Jennifer Stacy of Flemingsburg; seven grandchildren, Dylan McBride, Dustin McBride, Beck Stacy, Destinee Deininger, Savana Mauch, Aiden Bussell and Bryson Stacy; and four great grandchildren, Addiston, Jacob, Jordan, Jackson McBride.
She is also survived by one sister, Debra Trembly of Palatka, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and other extended relatives and friends.
Peggy was a retired bus driver for Fleming County Board of Education. She was of the Church of Christ faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered and greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the Whisman Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Cody Pyles, Chase Whisman, Dylan McBride, Dustin McBride, Vernon McBride, Aiden Bussell, Jonathan Bussell.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
