Duane Robert Campbell, age 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 19, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Duane was known for his kindness, generosity, and joke telling. He loved his WVU Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Duane was born on November 28, 1954 in Wheeling, WV to Paul and Margaret (Petko) Campbell. He graduated from Bishop Donahue High School in 1973. Duane worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel until its closing. He then went to Belmont Technical College and received his degree in Electrical Technician. Duane then retired as the lab manager at Waste Water Treatment plant in Moundsville.
Duane loved enjoying time with his family and friends. He was friendly with everyone he met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James "Jim" Cunningham and brother, Donald Campbell.
Duane was a devoted father to Jeri Campbell and Nicole Ennis. He adored his grandchildren; Nicole Ridgely, Isaac Ridgely, Ripley Campbell, Arley Ennis, Annie Ennis and Eve Ennis.
Duane is survived by his wife, Christy Cunningham Campbell, who he adored and called her his little Chippewa; mother-in-law, Carlene Yeater Cunningham; brother, Gary (Linda) Campell of Rochester, NY; Sister-in-law, Jamie Beth Brannan (Steve Kosek); Nieces, Paula (Dan) Campbell Irons, Jill Campbell Sanders and Zoe Kosek; nephews, Ian (April) Brannan, Todd Campbell; great nephews, Taylor Campbell and Landon Sanders; aunts and uncles, John and Bunny Cunningham, Joseph "Butch" and Susan Inclan, Shelly Yeater, Sharon Franklin Yeater; many cousins complete his family; his furbabies, Brandy Rose, Rudy Bleu and Roco Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 24th at 1pm at Calvary Methodist Church. Please join us and celebrate his life. Service and luncheon to follow.
